    A Story Of Eminent Providence

    July 15th, 2009

Guess who the above is?  Go on, guess!

    You give up?

It’s Sonia Sotomayor, circa decades ago, during her time as the self-hailed “perfect affirmative action baby” at Princeton University.

    Stupidity lingers but looks erode…

There’s a vid of Sotomayor (during her confirmation hearing) over at Hot Air.

    Please go watch it.

And prepare to be awed at not only her pathetically lame attempts at humor, nor her elementary understanding of the law, but also her grasp of the English language – she twice said “eminent” when she meant to say “imminent.”

Ed Whelan also noticed that she confused “providence” with “province” and stated “story of knowledge” instead of “store of knowledge.”

I guess that she’s nothing less than a reflection of a good deal of us (but not me), with her lazy oratory.  The more I think about it, though, the happier I am that Obama has chosen a mediocre acolyte rather than a truly intelligent one – at least the conservative Supreme Court justices may be able to confuse Quota Sonia with some highfalutin words.

    Partners In Crime

    July 2nd, 2009

Yeah, these two, but ACORN as well.  I’ll put my rudimentary photo-combining skills to brief use after writing this post and try to wangle something ACORN-y into the shot as well.

Hold on to your hats, because (more) evidence is now emerging that Sotomayor is a serial follower-of-wingnut-groups.

Not content with her membership of the insane National Council of La Raza, it appears likely that Sotomayor also worked on behalf of ACORN during her time with the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund (another group that, as you tell from the name, really concerns itself with the whole spectrum of people in America).

Is there nothing in public life in which ACORN is not involved?

Forget Quantum or S.P.E.C.T.R.E. – ACORN should be the nefarious criminal enterprise giving James Bond the run around.

    Sayonara, Sotomayor

    June 29th, 2009

Wow.  Who’s the ultimate personification of the 1980s – Sonia, above, or this guy?  Too close to call.

Sonia Sotomayor, aka the “perfect affirmative action baby“, is a gross simpleton.

A judgment (of mine) confirmed by the Supreme Court today in their decision on Ricci v DeStefano.

In that case, 20 firefighters (19 white and one Hispanic) filed suit against the city of New Haven, CT, after they were denied promotions because no African-American scored highly enough in the tests.  In the absence of a single African-American among those who’d earned promotion through their test scores, the city of New Haven wisely decided to deny promotions to everyone.

Quite understandably, those 20 firefighters were miffed and sued for discrimination.

Sotomayor said nuh-uh.  But now the Supreme Court has said uh-huh.

Oh dear, Sonia.  Embarrassment should cause her to spontaneously self-combust, but if that photo didn’t, then I’m guessing that this won’t, either.

I hope that the Republicans make her choke on this.  Don’t say hello.  Don’t say how are you.  Don’t say anything to her unless it includes the words Ricci vs DeStefano.

    The Truth Will Out

    June 4th, 2009

Y’know, being given complete and accurate backgrounds on our leaders would be helpful.

It wouldn’t stop me from hating their incomprehensible stupidity but it would (probably) prevent me from hating them personally.  Which I would like to be able to do.  Honestly.

Disagreements lacking such a visceral emotion can be pretty easily contained: the two parties simply believe different things.  But throw personal deviousness into the mix and it’s a-whole-nother story.

Now, not only do I disagree with your politics but I also hate your guts for trying to deceive me so amateurishly.  And my disgust spreads rapidly from you to your party to the entire political system.

    Just great.

Such is the case with Sonia Sotomayor who, surprise surprise, was a member of National Council of La Raza for 2,190 days (six years).

The Obama administration already has one former La Raza nutter, that we know of, in its ranks – Carla Muniz – so Sotomayor will feel right at home.

Looks like Janet Napolitano’s belief that “illegal immigration is not a crime per se” will soon become reality.

    It’s Official: Hispanic > White

    May 29th, 2009

    Good poster, no?

Because these days, it seems like just about anyone can be openly racist and get away with it.  Anyone who happens to not be white, that is.

Such as NY governor David Paterson and Rep. James Clyburn, to name but two.

And add new SCOTUS Sonia Sotomayor to the list.

How could she consider this case to be anything other than motivated by racism, pure and simple?

And where was her brain when she stated, in 2001, that “a wise Latina woman… would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male.”

Boy, am I glad that she’s the latest intellectual heavyweight to join the Supreme Court.

I guess that’s just our burden for being colonialist oppressors, or whatever the fashionably derogatory Lefty term currently is…

The Meek Shall Inherit The Earth

    May 26th, 2009

Or, as we’re currently witnessing in the US, The Unqualified Shall Inherit The Earth.

Obama is a standard social-engineering ticker of boxes.  Do we have enough females in the administration?  Check.  Enough minorities?  Check.  Enough advocates of illegal immigration, abortion and higher taxes?  Check.

Do they have appropriate qualifications?  Meh, you can’t have it all, and three out of four ain’t bad.

The latest person to ride the gravy-train of inherited genetics (this time, as with Labor Secretary Hilda Solis, because she’s female and Hispanic) is Sonia Sotomayor, who will soon take her place on the US Supreme Court.

Sotomayor, as if you couldn’t have guessed this, is fascinated with her own ethnicity and considers it to be of primary importance.  As such, she finds discrimination everywhere, so is doubtless salivating at the prospect of imminent judicial activism to enforce change upon America.

Rather than blaming people for their own failures, Sodomayor, as with all the other non-entities on the Left, finds it far more rewarding and salient to instead blame their problems on US society (i.e. you and I).

Yawwwn.  Boring.  There is nothing more boring, in fact, than hearing people drone on about their ethnicity.  It is so insular and self-centered.  Are such short-sighted, narrowly concerned people really material fit for high office?

We might have the pleasure of getting rid of Obama (or at least neutering his omnipotence) in a few years time: Sotomayor, on the other hand, will be dragging us down for a long time to come.

    UPDATE 06/29/09 – Sayonara, Sonia.
