Larry Langford, One-Man Crime Wave
December 9th, 2009
Yep.
It’s Larry Langford, again.
This guy just cannot resist immersing himself in corruption. Having been convicted on 60 of 101 fraud, corruption and bribery charges (I’m amazed that he didn’t subsequently make the claim that he was 40-odd percent innocent), claiming that he was the victim of racism and that he was treated him worse than Dahmer and Hilter, Langford is now the guest star in another lawsuit, this one brought by Sandra Howard
Whoa there, Larry! Slow down some. You’re hogging all the attention and not leaving enough time for anyone else to enjoy Alabama’s criminal justice system.
This isn’t the first time that Providence directed Larry to the right machines at exactly the right moments, either. Also from the article:
The suit echoes claims in an unresolved 2007 suit filed by Cynthia Teel against VictoryLand. In that case, an Oct. 23, 2008, affidavit from a VictoryLand employee says officials at the Shorter facility manipulated a machine to guarantee payouts to certain people, including Langford, from 2006 to 2008.
Scandals are attracted to this guy like flies to sh*t. Who knows what the fixed bingo payouts were all about? Satisfying his personal greed and buying political favors go without saying, but then why use the public rigmarole of bingo? Why not a traditional stuffed envelope? Could this be money-laundering?
At this point – facing over 800 years in jail already – Langford might as well ‘fess up. Why not claim the credit for Jimmy Hoffa’s disappearance too? What are the Feds gonna do – increase your sentence?
Go for it, Larry! Break the millennium-in-prison barrier!
