Today, friends, I present to you a study in stupid, courtesy of John Kerry.

Now that I’ve very belatedly discovered the “More” tag, I can do posts like this, without taking up the entire front page, when my brain is simply too deflated to function by the ceaseless idiocy that passes for public service.

Kerry’s not in the news for being sinfully stupid, but rather for some entirely unscrupulous shenanigans concerning Honduras.  Read about it here, or follow the jump and and chuckle at the most photogenic politician to have evah graced the stage.

A small disclaimer: who among us hasn’t been caught sneaking a not-too-subtle glance at what God gave women?  I swear that they emit eyeball gravity beams.

So let’s give Kerry a slight pass for the first pic and concentrate, instead, of his aptitude for disastrous photo ops.  Particularly when they involve a football.

Note to Kerry: if you’re going to try to ingratiate yourself with normal people (which you’re not, by virtue of being a gazillionaire power-mad elitist) by doing something that they themselves do, don’t choose something at which you really suck.

It’s kinda like a foreigner trying to sing the national anthem as a sign of his respect for America, but who then proceeds to only f**k up the whole thing.

Except that Kerry is American and still can’t do what everyone else can: throw/catch a football.

I owe Jammie Wearing Fool a debt of gratitude for introducing me to the photo above.  Looks like I’ll have to reconsider my favorite dumb-politician photo.

It wasn’t “looking French” that scuppered Kerry’s bid for the Oval Office, nor his Hanoi John antics – it was the inevitable consequence of being Dork Of The Millennium.

Seriously.  Where else but in politics can someone atrophy for years as a prerequisite to then being accredited as a party grandee?

Kerry’s latest no-no, obviously in a show of solidarity with his collectivist brothers and sisters, is to have run afoul of the IRS, to whom his 2004 presidential campaign owes more than $800,000.  As Jammie states, Kerry is now eligible for office under President Intern.

Kerry says that the IRS has made a mistake, but has otherwise not let this diminish his profound love for inefficient government bureaucracy.

It’s going to be a long time before auditing of the Obama campaign is complete (assuming, of course, that we get to see this document, unlike certain other ones that Obama spends taxpayer money to keep hidden away…), but it’ll be worth the wait.

*Sniff, sniff*  What is that slightly pungent aroma?  Almost unmistakable…. Ah, yes.  Definitely the acrid smell of hypocrisy.

I begrudge no-one their earned success.  But Sen. Kerry doesn’t exactly lead the frugal lifestyle he is espousing.

What, who doesn’t have the vacation home in Nantucket, the ski chalet in Ketchum, the estate outside Pittsburgh, the Georgetown manse?

Not to mention the red-and-white Gulfstream jet.

Hanoi John really knows how to soil his reputation.  To me, he’s the equivalent of a toddler who proudly announces that he no longer needs poopy-pants, only to promptly empty his bowels all over himself.

Word of advice: a potential Commander in Chief should probably not insult the military.
