    Epic Fail

    September 23rd, 2009

    So…

Bearing in mind that the President of the United States has agreed to face-to-face meetings with the leaders of Iran and North Korea; given previously overt and now tacit approval to Manuel Zelaya; exchanged nauseating fist-bumps with Hugo Chavez; showered Putin with early Xmas presents in an attempt to apologize for the Soviet Union’s Worst. Christmas. Ever (December 25, 1991); and eased restrictions on the terribly misunderstood Castro regime…

How, then, has the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom failed to himself win any precious alone time with The One?

Though he’ll meet with the abhorrent leaders of a range of misfit countries, Obama won’t spare a few minutes for the comrade in charge of the UK.

    That’s gotta hurt.

But worry not, Gordo, for there’s one or two sure-fire ways to receive an open invitation to the new and improved White House.

All that’s required is to illegally develop or proliferate nuclear weapons/deny the Holocaust/threaten a dozen or so neighboring countries/or, at the very least, express an undying commitment to enacting the wonderful ideals of Karl Marx.

    Take your pick!

    Return Of The Police State

    June 12th, 2009

    Damn.

The UK is easily the most crazy far-Left haven on Earth at the moment (out of the advanced democracies that should know better, that is).

The latest brainwave of state institutions there is to recruit teachers to MI5, the UK’s counter-intelligence and security agency.

So not only will poor students face bad grades, but also the possibility of detention and interrogation.  Well, if nothing else, I guess that inducing some fear into them might make the UK’s abysmal students concentrate a little better.

It’d be too time-consuming to list the number of ways in which this development is unbelievably scary, so let’s just limit it to a few of the most disconcerting:

    1) The security services clearly expect terrorism to continue for a long time if they’re looking for contacts within the education system.

    2) So there are obviously new, younger generations of terrorists being inculcated with the kind of insanity that led to this.

    3) Which means that they’re probably home-grown terrorists, who are even harder to detect than foreign nutters who’ve entered through the UK’s open-door immigration policy.

    Wonderful!

The First Of Many Victories (Hopefully)

    June 6th, 2009

But before discussing that, please turn your eyes to the photo above.

I do apologize for using it.

That, apparently, is how British Prime Minister Gordon Brown thinks that women should be greeted.  It looks like he’s getting ready to just kinda slobber on the left side of her face.

Anyway, today was a glorious day in the UK, for the results of local council elections became known.

The socialists (Labour) now control not a single county council in England.

    Not a one.

And this is but an appetizer for the impending general election, where Labour will be obliterated.

Socialism has risen from the dead more times than Dracula, but it gets harder each time.  Margaret Thatcher wiped them out for 18 years: David Cameron could do the same.

    Patience Is A Virtue

    June 1st, 2009

After 12 long years, there’s finally good news out of the UK.

    Great news, in fact.

Labour, having run the UK so fantastically since 1997 that the national debt is now 150% of GDP, has come in third in the latest opinion poll, falling behind the Liberal Democrats.

If that news doesn’t quite match the preceding hype, then consider this:

David Lloyd George was the last Liberal Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, from 1916-22.  Since then, the Lib-Dems have been about as relevant to British politics as human rights are to the Middle East.

It’s impossible to even know with much accuracy where the Lib-Dems stand on any issue.  As they’ve had zero chance of winning elections during the past 90 years, no-one pays any attention to what they say, allowing them to take every position on every question (not that they’re the only ones to do that…).

So socialists have once again made themselves redundant.  All that it took, unfortunately, was running a once-great country into the ground.

    History will soon repeat itself.
