Yeah, I know that everyone and his dog is crapping all over Janet Napolitano’s invisible intelligence (click here for easily the best title on the ‘net -- yes, the whole ‘net -- regarding her claim that some random Euro beating up the poor little Nigerian is proof positive that DHS anti-terror measures are working better than ever), but I’d like to analyze a different aspect of the interview.

Namely, WTF is she wearing?

Since when has the turtleneck plus tan leather jacket (almost certainly a fake, too, judging by its plasticky appearance and sh*te hang) combo ever been a good idea?  Has Jan not bought any clothes since the 1970s?  Or was she deliberately going for the oldschool porno look?

What a frackin’ mess.  And let’s not even get started on her toilet-brush haircut, either.

If someone can’t be trusted to dress themselves without *cough*Michelle Obama*cough* f*cking it all up to hell and back, don’t put them in charge of the nation’s security, Barry.

PS -- Should Jan be the next comrade to be chucked under the bus, guess where some people think she might resurface.  Makes perfect sense, really, for this administration.

The UN Copenhagen climate talks are in disarray today after developing countries reacted furiously to leaked documents that show world leaders will next week be asked to sign an agreement that hands more power to rich countries and sidelines the UN’s role in all future climate change negotiations.

Awesome.  And it gets better, with the documents purportedly pushing to:

• Force developing countries to agree to specific emission cuts and measures that were not part of the original UN agreement;

• Divide poor countries further by creating a new category of developing countries called “the most vulnerable”;

• Weaken the UN’s role in handling climate finance;

• Not allow poor countries to emit more than 1.44 tonnes of carbon per person by 2050, while allowing rich countries to emit 2.67 tonnes.

The fig leaf of global absolutism has fallen.  In the aftermath of Climategate, the conspirators at Copenhagen (those countries who drafted the secret text supposedly operate under the comical moniker of “the circle of commitment.” Dum dum duuummm!) are engaging in a spectacular double-or-nothing gambit.  As with the domestic US political scene, Obama is in the vanguard of efforts to push something, anything, through before support for self-enslavement deteriorates even further.

Though reports centering on the leaked documents contain an element of conjecture, its existence should surprise no-one: the prime motivation underlying the war on carbon emissions is unbridled megalomania, whether on the national or international stage.

There is nothing – not one human activity, from birth until death – that does not result in the release of carbon dioxide.  With this being the case, there is nothing to which such legislation could not potentially be deemed applicable, and nothing for which it could not then be used as justification.

If this appears to be verging on the hysterical, consider this: when was the last time that the political class awarded itself new powers, which were then left on the shelf?

Never is when.  County councils in the UK, for instance, have used the cover of recently enacted anti-terror laws to spy on families suspected of putting their trash out on the wrong day.  Which is totally what the legislation was intended to be used for.  Totalitarian climate change legislation would be exploited to even worse effect.

“Climate change” hyperactivity hurts those who can least afford it the most, in both the developed and developing worlds.  Should the LDCs jump ship, climate change talks will be as paralyzed as the moribund Doha development round.  Even Obama would hesitate (I hope) to conclude an agreement binding only the developed nations to self-destruction.

Remember how JJB went berserk over one of my Michelle Obama posts?

Well, I also posted that piece at The Green Room.  Two other bloggers linked to it, Cynthia Yockey and Urban Grounds, and JJB stalked them both, leaving comments that alternated between his personal crusade to rebut every negative comment on the internet about FLOTUS and his back-up plan of calling those who still disagree with him racist (yawn).

I dredge up JJB as he’s apparently now morphed into Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price.

I’ve no idea what made Price go nutso on this occasion (starting at around the 30 second mark), not that it ever takes much judging by his reputation, but this article probably explains it.  I haven’t read it, because I don’t much care -- the unbridled temper tantrum is what interests me.

What a petulant brat.  That is no way for elected representatives to behave.  Histrionics of this kind might excite the brainless base, but you’re otherwise just exposing your own idiocy, JWP.

Not that eruptions of this kind are unusual for him.  He broke the ankle of a white construction worker in 1991, and shamelessly played the race card in his own defense.  His lawyer, Billy Ravkind, joined in the fun and games, helpfully explaining that,

Race has got everything to do with everything.

Which really clears up a lot of things for me.  Even better still, Price was subsequently acquitted “amid speculation that a guilty verdict might have sparked the kind of racial violence that recently struck Los Angeles.”

So much for equality before the law.

UPDATE:  Aaaaaahahahahahahah!  I did a little more digging on Price and it turns out that this dunce also threw a wobbly (do you guys say that over here?) when someone said “black-hole” in front of him!  Which then prompted another African-American in the vicinity to jump on the black solidarity bandwagon and demand an apology for the insensitivity with which “black hole” was uttered, as well.

I don’t even know where to begin.

Michelle Bachmann kicks all kinds of a*s in that way that only hot, intelligent women can.

With that being so, she is, of course, one of the Left’s favorite hate-figures.  Right after Bush, Cheney and Palin, I’d imagine.

The problem we conservatives face, and exemplified again here, is that the Left’s attacks are never isolated events.  They call their henchmen in the media/think tanks/NGOs/mafia/schools and everywhere else, to ensure that as many people pile on as possible.

Bachmann is now in the sights of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), which is yet another Left-wing organization posing entirely falsely as a non-partisan group.  Were you to head on over to their website, you would find it plastered with accusations against Republicans, with scant mentions of Democrats, aside from outright criminals such as Charlie Rangel.

I’ve posted about them once before, regarding their complaint to the Federal Election Commission (which later dismissed their pathetic whining) about clothes purchased by the Republican Party to outfit Sarah Palin.

But, strangely enough, Crew didn’t seem to think that paying your mistress hush money from donations to your presidential campaign was anything too wayward.

And neither did they have a problem with the millions of $ that then-Senator Obama received in illegal foreign donations to his presidential campaign.

Their tut-tutting at Bachmann is based on the too-ridiculous-to-be-true charge that she used her official Web site to promote a Washington rally against the Democrats’ takeover of health care.  What the f*ck else is she going to do with her website?  Use it to support her opponents?

Needless to say that while Bachmann apparently cannot use her own website for her own purposes, it’s perfectly acceptable for the US Department of Health and Human Services to have an official website urging people to support Barry.

Nope, that’s no double-standard at all.

I know nothing of the setting for the pic (is it perhaps something to do with her forthcoming appearance of some kinda reality tv show?  Did I really read that she’s doing that?), not that that would do much to explain the appearance of 1970s man to Michelle’s right and random orange sock’n'croc wearing tubby to her left, anyway.

But ignore those distractions and focus once again on the First Lady.  She’s apparently squished herself into a dress designed for someone roughly a foot shorter (I know, I detest the metric system, too, but it’s the only way I can measure height…) than she is.

Couple this garish item of clothing with the tiny little cardigan, complete with top button done up,  and it’s almost as if Michelle suffers from Adult Baby Syndrome.  Where did the over-sized bow in her hair go?

She needs help.

No, more help than that.

Much more help.

Why does she do this?  Did she lose a bet/take a dare?  Let her children pick her wardrobe?  Or does she consciously decide to dress like a bum/clown as often as she can?

Gore Vidal, another member of the Left-wing horde who is not in the least bit qualified as any kind of political analyst yet considers himself one nonetheless, has appeared on the Joy Behar show, with eminently (or, were I to speak the English of Sonia Sotomayor, “imminently”) predictable results.

Vidal’s moral compass can be deduced by his reaction to the long overdue arrest of Roman Polanski.  Sky News quoted him as telling The Atlantic that,

I really don’t give a f*ck.  Look, am I going to sit and weep every time a young hooker feels as though she’s been taken advantage of?

Rather than placing the blame on Polanski’s own decision to drug and rape a girl barely in her teenage years, Vidal made the claim that Polanski was instead a victim of anti-Semitism and xenophobia.  Which will in all probability form the backbone of Polanski’s no doubt airtight defense at his (hopefully) upcoming trial.

Proving that level of vileness to be anything but a fluke, Vidal stated -- at around the 1:50 mark on the vid -- on Behar’s show, regarding President Bush, that,

That’s one murder that I miss not committing.

To which Behar gave the robust reply of,

Yes, well, it’s too late, anyway.

To be fair, though, anyone who only hates -- rather than actively seeking to do harm to -- the 43rd president is a paradigm of objectivity to the Left, so perhaps Behar was simply trying to burnish her credentials as a “moderate” by not quite joining in with Vidal’s assassination fantasy.

As with the repellent racist Joseph Lowery, this marks approximately the seven quadrillionth time that Democrats have gotten away with saying something for which conservatives would have been publicly, and gleefully, crucified.

This must be the mythical “respectful debate” whose passing the Democrats have long bewailed (well, since January 2009, at any rate).
