The Envirocaust Still Cometh

Note to this guy: failing the Cynthia McKinney test will result in the rapid loss of all credibility.
And this isn’t just any old, disheveled-looking vagrant – he’s one Rajendra Pachauri, chairman of one of the organizations chiefly responsible for perpetrating the largest con in human history (yes, perhaps even greater than handing the Oval Office to a gawky, insecure and rabidly socialist intern), the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
Not that he sees it that way. Despite the revelations of ClimateGate that everything offering any proof at all of so-called climate change is based on data that was, essentially, made up, Pachauri has defended the IPCC’s honor, incredulously stating that,
The processes in the IPCC are so robust, so inclusive, that even if an author or two has a particular bias it is completely unlikely that bias will find its way into the IPCC report.
Shyeah, right. No bias with which they disagree has made it way into their reports, he meant to say.
We should all recycle, etc, etc, but the world will not microwave itself to death if we don’t impose measures on ourselves that will devastate our economy and destroy our standard of living.
Not that this matters to the Left’s assorted con-artists and crooks. Where overt socialism has failed, environmentalism will succeed. Opportunities to bamboozle people into voting for their own shackles appear only rarely, and ain’t nuthin’ gonna prevent Barry from exploiting this one to the fullest.

Rajendra Pachauri: When you’re looking for a useless bureaucratic hack and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is just too well-groomed to fit the bill.

Ha, he does have a tinge of Ahmadinnerjacket’s particular brand of crazy to him, doesn’t he?
But beardier.

Yes, we can go there without taking shots. I haven’t taken a shot in over two weeks! Life is good.
I’ll keep you posted. I went in this past Friday for a couple of beers and left. I’m getting better.
I’m heading out of town on Wednesday to go to a wedding, that I was actually invited to (so, not as fun as crashing a wedding with you), but I have friends coming in the weekend after, so maybe I’ll set something up.

This whole thing is just insanity. I’m a data analyst myself and know just how easy it is to manipulate data to mean what you want it to.
Somebody needs to remind these people that you gather data to formulate a theory, you do not gather only data that will prove your personal stance.
What amazes me is that they insist on perpetuating the theory that CO2 emissions cause global warming even though every graph shows CO2 rising AFTER the temperature rises.

Many seemed surprised at the revelations of climagate. These think tanks, these environmental groups are funded in large part by various governments who have a vested interest in the Global Warming Myth and these egg heads who profess an all know knowledge of the complete works of mother nature are only to eagar to please their masters who put the bread on their tables with the millions of dollars in grants. Some may finally see the light, but the multitudes will remain in darkness.

These idiots can’t reconcile the fact that while a “25 sq mile peninsula of Ice at Antarctica lost 80% of it’s ice and was down to 5 sq miles over the course of 10 years or so, Antarctica in total grew over thousands of sq miles of new ice in different locations of course.”
They believe this shit because they WANT to believe it. That’s all the scientific process they need.

Karen, yea, moisture in the atmosphere causes heat buildup.
Mars’ atmosphere is 90% CO2. No heat problem there.

I agree with your idea that the opportunity to trick the people is now. They aren’t going to pass it up, especially with the window of opportunity closing. The more people that find out about climate gate, the more difficult it will become.

Karen, The Kid – Don’t you just love how many “informed” people think that not only is CO2 the most prevalent greenhouse gas, but that it’s also responsible for the heat build up?
Wrong on both counts, automatons.
Depending upon which estimate you use, water vapor accounts for between 80-95 percent of greenhouse gases.
But there’s not much that we can do (nor should we want to )about the ocean, now, is there?
So, in the ultimate display of environmental hand-wringing, we pour trillions of $ into affecting the tiny proportion of gases that are anthropogenic and which only have a knock-on effect on warming, while pretending that the role of water vapor is negligible.
Yep. Makes perfect sense.

I can’t help but remember the phrase from the old margarine commercial… “It’s not nice to fool mother nature.”
We mess around with something we can’t possibly predict or understand (like the weather) and we’re just begging for trouble.

Hitler said that ‘they’ll believe a big lie but not a small one.’ or something to that effect.
What bothers me the most is the total lack of critical thinking, that so many people are willing to take assholes like Gore and pals at face value. Even lay their money on the line for a prediction going 20 years out. NO ONE has ever made a prediction 10 years out that even came close. Ozone hole, run out of oil, all the frogs are dying, the list is endless and is batting Zero.
Man it’s depressing.

The Kid, the absence of any capacity for critical thinking is what worries me the most, too. Climate change, the stimulus, tax hikes, affirmative action, abortion, etc, are all articles of faith to the Left. No deviation in thought is allowed.
It is no contradiction for me to say that we should recycle more, but not cripple ourselves doing it. Nor in saying that abortion is abhorrent, but sometimes unavoidable (such as if the life of the mother is threatened).
But there is no such ability on the Left to think outside their prescribed stances.

Track, yes, exceptions for everything.
As far as critical thought, I tlak to a lot of young people. They all (progressives) fit the following mold.
They watched the debates and listened to obama’s commercials for a few weeks before the election. They felt they had all the info they needed to make a decision. They voted for him. They trust implicitly in their decision and have not paid any attention since.
I ask them about cap and trade and they don’t know what I’m talking about. I ask them about health care and they
“know” that all persons will be covered (25 million won’t at last est.) and they won’t have to pay for the insurance.
That last bit is going to provide some serious humor when they get hit with having to buy a plan or pay a fine. If they pass this evil thing.
