Fort Hood + Togo West = Not Good
The prospects of an unadulterated investigation into the Ft. Hood massacre have not been good from the get-go.
Cast-iron assurances of a comprehensive inquiry have the same ring to my ears as did Pelosi’s promise to create the “most ethical Congress in history” and Barry’s pledge to honor his own much-vaunted* “sunshine clause.”
With the MSM creating an entirely new psychiatric condition to explain away Nidal Malik Hasan’s murderous “aberration”, with Janet Napolitano automatically warning against any anti-Muslim backlash (fun fact for Janet: there were, according to the FBI, 1,477 crimes motivated by religious bias in 2007. Of that figure, 133 were anti-Islamic, whereas 1,010 were anti-Jewish. Still, who are the Democrats to let reality rain on their parade?) and with President Obama urging there to be no rush to judgment – unlike his ability to divine exactly what took place in the Henry Louis Gates affair after a nanosecond’s worth of analysis – the likelihood of a white-washed report disinfecting the atrocity of one of its most disturbing traits has always been pretty high.
The appointments of former Army Secretary Togo West (above) and former Navy Chief of Operations Admiral Vernon Clark to lead the investigation mean that that possibility is now all but a certainty, according to James Corum. Writing in the Daily Telegraph (London), Corum states that,
There’s a higher probability of wisdom flowing forth from the lips of Joe Biden than there is of this happening, but the Left would do well not to immediately dismiss Dr. Corum as a conservative wing-nut. One look at his credentials should leave no disinterested party with any doubts as to his standing.
Rhetorical question alert: why, in that case, has the MSM gone nowhere near this?

I will tell you something, Sir, an uncle of mine was very nearly picked as the first Secretary of a newly established federal department.
He was glad to step aside for another man. He daily helped the appointee who was severely disabled. He did that because my uncle was a decent American MAN.
He was a very decent Christian.
Years after he retired and just before he died he told me how DISGUSTING it was to serve this nation at the level at which he served.
His words to me were:
“Pete, working in this environment challenged my religious beliefs and convictions every day. The deals, the deceptions, I am so glad to be free of it.”
My uncle Jim told me he was very glad that he was not picked to head his department. And I believed him.
I do not expect an answer from you.
I will not get one from any of the puppets I write to in protest of this TREASON.
There is a day coming when America will look around and ask “Who will come forward”?
And the answer will be DEAFENING – Sir.

TOGO WEST HAS A HABIT OF WEARING A PURPLE HEART PIN ON HIS LAPEL…. HE WAS A JAG OFFICER IN GERMANY IN THE 60s.. HE WAS NEVER IN COMBAT, NEVER WOUNDED, WAS NEVER IN A COMBAT THATER (I think the war in Germany ended before he was there – duh) – He says he wears it to “HONOR” those soldiers who have been wounded… Hell, if that were true he should then be wearing a Medal of Honor Rosette…..
There is a Federal law against wearing uniforms or medals one has not earned. The late Col. David H Hackworth (USA ret) wrote an article in 1996 exposing the fact that the then Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Jeremy M Boorda, was wearing combat ribbons that he had not earned. When informed that Col Hackworth was going to publish the article, Admiral Boorda when home, walked into his backyard with his pistol and committed suicide.
I don’t expect Mr Togo West to commit suicide, that would show to much honor.. But his selection fits the rest of that group in or near the White House..
