The Economist Obama Covers

I know that it’s been traumatic, but this is the final, final edition of Barry tributes.
Well, maybe.
Anyway, this time it’s the turn of The Economist covers. Falling well behind Newsweek (30) and TIME (28) with a desultory 18 covers of Zero, The Economist does at least maintain a more even-handed appearance.
Not that that’s terribly difficult when the competition is what it is, but still.
Does this mean that it’s time for Barry for start whinging about another media outlet that *gasp* sometimes does its job and doesn’t always take every single thing that he says at face value?

In 2012, all of this stuff will be like the morning after on a coyote-ugly date: Hungover and loaded with regret.
..you know, somwhere’s between that kitsch Bicentennial detritus we were saddled with when ‘77 rolled around and the old “Re-Elect Jimmah” crap on November 5th, 1980.
Hell, I think an unopened six-pack of Billy Beer went for more that all of that crap did.

It would suit me fine if The Economist mistrusted ALL politicians ALL the time. Alas, they are enamored with anyone who conjures up the Keynesian voodoo. At least it’s a stricter standard than Newsweak and Time.
