Hope Whitehead, Tax Cheat

This is Hope Whitehead, who clinched the nomination to fill a vacancy in the Missouri House of Representatives over the weekend. Apologies for the small pic, it was the only one that I could find.
And she has proven that she has the right stuff to be an excellent Democrat because her corruption is already established before even entering office.
First, a little background: Whitehead has been chosen to replace former Rep. Talibdin El-Amin, who submitted his resignation in September after pleading guilty to federal bribery charges. Though normally a prerequisite for promotion from the ranks of lesser criminals within the Democratic Party, El-Amin and his Missouri cohorts have been trying to pad their resumes with a few too many felonies: he is the third local Democratic lawmaker to leave office this year after being caught in an FBI crackdown on corruption. Such a shame.
And his replacement is no better. Whitehead’s inappropriateness for public office of any kind is revealed by the fact that she owed $1,155 in personal property taxes and related fees (and only paid it back last weekend as, under state law, candidates with overdue tax bills are ineligible for the ballot). Additionally, she admitted to paying her vehicle taxes only when her two-year registration expired, not each year as required.
But never mind, for she has magnanimously (and ungrammatically) stated that,
This isn’t K-12 anymore, idiot. Promising that you’ll get it right next time isn’t good enough coming from elected officials.
Adding to this heart-warming story of the wonders of democracy is the small matter that, come time for the special election in February next year, Whitehead almost certainly won’t even face competition from other parties, as the 57th District is so overwhelmingly Democratic.
This will not be the last that we hear of Hope Whitehead upholding the wrong side of the law.
