    Eliot Spitzer, aka Mr. Ethics

If Eliot Spitzer were a Republican, he would be such a wreck of a man after the media had got through with him that he would be afraid of even flushing the john, out of fear that someone would delve into the waste to see what could be divined from it.

Every aspect of his life would have been publicly excoriated, and the public would have been whipped into a frenzy such that only bloodshed would satisfy.

But he’s not a Republican.  He’s a member of the party that can do no wrong, whose followers automatically receive a pass from the media, which then embarks on an all-out assault to convince the public that they’re deserving of clemency.

The flawless anti-logic of the Left, which demands that no-one be judged by any moral standard whatsoever (as that would undoubtedly be biased, prejudiced, racist or imperialist), leads to such common sense tsunamis as having someone such as Spitzer lecture on ethics.  The reasoning goes something like this: because he admitted his guilt (once caught), he’s then well placed to reflect on his failings and help us simple folk avoid such pitfalls, right?

WRONG.  I don’t want advice from an abortionist on how to raise babies, and I don’t want advice from politicians on ethical matters.  In fact, they’re even less qualified than Spitzer to harangue us (if that’s possible.  Is it?), as the only difference between them is that they’ve yet to be caught doing something massively wrong and hypocritical.

The madam who set Spitzer up with his, ahem, “high-class” (I think that’s a euphemism for “expensive”) hookers has written an awesomely scathing letter about Spitzer’s inappropriateness for anything involving right/wrong.

Plus: did he really take $9 million in illegal loans from daddy in order to fund two campaigns for Attorney General?

Boy, do I want bad things to happen to this king douche.

Democrats=the biggest hipocrites evah! The right is held to a different standard cause they are religious. The left are held to no standard by the media cause they have none.
Maybe Barney Frank should give a lecture on how to keep on eye out for marijuana being grown by your roomate or Billy Clinton could give one on how to stay faithful, oh oh, obama could give one on being a bipartisan.

I think this line could be applied to virtually everyone in the administration (and beyond).

Just revise it to say, “If [insert Dem's name here] were a Republican, he/she would be a wreck of a man/woman…”

Word on the street (the one with the wall) is that Spitzer’s set up for a downfall was an inside (Democrat) job. What he did is between he and his wife. I can’t speak to that $9 mil, but I’d venture to say that such stuff happens on both sides. Frequently.

On the job, Spitzer has been an unequivocal crusader against banker shenanigans. He speaks out against the Fed and is rock solid on economics. I like him.
