In Need Of An Ass Kicking
Rep. Charles Gonzalez (D-TX) is the window-licker on the right (I’ve no idea who Mr. Squinty on the left is).
He’s made his way into my pantheon of idiots by way of this article in The Hill, entitled “Illegal immigration may threaten health vote.”
There’s just a couple of problems. The most immediate is that the title misleads you (or, at least, me) into thinking that health care might fail due to the Democrats’ desire to give coverage to illegal aliens, whereas the opposite is actually the case – some Congressional communists are threatening fratricide because someone somewhere sort of implied the remote possibility of health care not covering the entire populations of Central and South America.
Plus, the authors are wildly optimistic if they think that this is gonna bring it down. This is nothing more than a pathetic attack on the far-Left by the far, far-Left, in an effort to drag the extreme-collectivists into the territory of the ultra-collectivists.
What is so difficult to understand about the concept of a constituency? A constituency comprises only those people who can (legally) vote, plus their dependents. Those who can’t (or, more appropriately, shouldn’t) vote do not form a part of any constituency. Their views count for precisely squat: they do not factor into the equation at all.
Except, that is, for a large number of Democrats who consider their constituencies to be composed of nothing but illegal immigrants. We all know that health care is not going to make any distinction between legal and illegal recipients, but Gonzales has nevertheless thrown a sh*t-fit about this “very bad policy”, in order to keep the pressure on Barry to provide coverage for all of humanity.
Really, though, as if anyone needs to exert any pressure at all on Barry to ensure that he remains steadily on the most far-Left path available. I think that one’s already covered, guys.

I guess Dems see the illegals as a “potential” constituency. Also, the Mexicans have LOTS of money to donate to politicians, after a little laundering, that is. TONS of drug money.

E-Verify is one of the most effective, simple immigration enforcement identifiers, along with the 287 (g) police apprehension applications to deter any illegal foreign national from stealing the 15.3 million American jobs. The usual proponents are out to eliminate these powerful programs, because enforcement of immigration laws that have always been imposed– ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO WORK EFFICIENTLY? HOWEVER I WILL KEEP ON REMINDING VOTERS, TO COMMAND A PERMANENT E-VERIFY SYSTEM FROM THEIR LAWMAKERS. Yet they forgot to inform everybody that the government has imported more than a million working-age foreign nationals this year that nullified every positive impact the stimulus could have had for U.S unemployed workers.
