    The Health Care Hydra

Not that it’ll help you squeeze any sense at all out of the above “organizational” flow chart, but click here for a magnified version of the schematic used by House Republicans to display the distilled idiocy of the Democrats’ health care boondoggle.

(By the way, just in case the above does make any semblance of sense to you, please seek help – immediately.)

The House Republican Conference has compiled a list of all the new boards, bureaucracies, commissions, and programs created in H.R. 3962, Bella Pelosi’s government takeover of health care.

How many d’ you reckon they came up with?

    25?

    50?

Nope.  Pelosi and her wrecking crew have managed to stuff 111 new boards, bureaucracies, commissions, and programs into the bill.

Health care is the Hydra of government: once instituted, it is impossible to shrink the number of Federal/State/local bureaucracies – and thus the size of the State – , no matter how many are decapitated.

    Just look at Europe.

UPDATE:  I think that I was being too kind with the Hydra simile.  Although the Hydra, like State-sanctioned health care, is monstrous and cumbersome, it is also a part of Greek mythology and hence wicked awesome.  Perhaps it would be more apt to compare health care to worms, which can also (kinda) survive being mutilated. Yep, far more appropriate.

      Agreed.

The fact of the matter is, if health care deform passes, it will mean the metastazing of big government beyond the ability of any political party to control it’s spread. This is why the Democrats want it so bad-they’re the ones that stand to reap the vast majority of benefits from the permanent health care state.

And that’s why the conservative movement must stop Obama-care immediately.

Actually, your chart a reminds of another from another government, unionized monopoly, education. Because this is all this deathcare bill is all about: setting up another government monopoly. Take a lookt at a chart of what it takes to fire a teacher under our current government monopoly of education. It’s 3 pages worth of that flow chart and that’s just to get a bad teacher fired. Think of all the flow charts that would become of this monstrocity if it passes because all the medical personal would be unionized. Just to do one procedure would have similiar chains of commands and protocals that would just wear out anyone in opposition to the beuracracy. This would make it so big, it would be like a plague and once out, it would become just too big that there would be no way to control it.

Ah, and the other similarity to a womb: once you’re in there, liberals think it’s A-Ok to rip you apart and dump you in the bin.

      I just can’t wait!

King Shamus – And, as with the UK, it’ll only grow and grow, as the Democrats stuff the health care profession with diversity officers, equality supervisors and target managers – as opposed to nurses and doctors – thus building up their client state of government employees.

Anonymous – Exactly. And because it “works” elsewhere, in misguided Democrat minds, it’ll “work” here, too, right?

Christine – that must’ve been a horrorshow of a conversation with your daughter. I dread to think what is being taught under the guise of “tolerance and choice.” Will check out your post.
