One Small Step For The RNC
I know that I’m possibly the last person in the entire blogosphere to post on this, but I’m not letting tardiness stand in my way. Posts like this I do for their limitless opportunity for mockery, not for any analysis or traffic bomb.
Plus, we should never let the RNC, Newt Gingrich and everyone else who supported the outright Left-winger Scozzafava (she didn’t even attempt to hide her lunatic leanings – she was endorsed by pro-abortion groups, big labor and the daily Kos, for Chrissakes!) forget their complicity in this collective, weeks/months-long brainfart.
What were they thinking? Were they trying to emulate the Democrats? Because that whole grand strategy of exploiting voter grievances, and then running candidates who will do nothing but more of the same is working out just great for the statists currently in charge. Remember how Barry complained about out-of-control spending? And transparency? And ethics? And open debate? And government expansion? And son on, and so on?
Well that’s rightly biting him in the a*s now that’s he deceived his way to the top and rapidly proving himself to be incapable of doing anything other than repeating past errors, with the sole “success” of magnifying their scope. Unemployment times two! Deficit times two! Spending times three! Race-baiting times infinity!
So Scozzafava, having been thoroughly burned (as in, ya burned!) by the whole experience has entered endgame kamikaze mode, endowing her Democratic former-rival with her mighty endorsement and all (both) of her supporters. I can understand why she did it, but c’mon. Does she really think this is going to have any effect at all?
She could have salvaged some scraps of dignity by bowing out gracefully, but nooooo. Her seal of approval sounds the death knell for the Democrat candidate, who must’ve welcomed this news about as much as finding out that you’ve got kidney stones.
Dede Scozzafava, thank you for playing the part of sacrificial lamb so adeptly.
And get ready for more RINO company in the rejects pile.

Newt showed his true colors in this contest, and forever marked himself as someone who cannot be trusted. It’s time for him to disappear into a quiet retirement.

Not only did this ditzy broad endorse Owens, but there’s chatter that she is robo-calling for him as well.
Also, Mike Steele is saying that these elections are a referendum on his leadership. Wow! If that’s the case, then he ought to just step down and hand the keys to Palin because he and Newtered Gingrich sure took the pipe on this woman. I mean, that picture is a classic example of how STOOOOPID she really is: setting up outside her rival’s office to give a campaign speech and being surrounded by all of the Hoffman folks’ signage with those two cretinesque assistants holding up those pathetic slogans.

WriterX, Arby – Newt really screwed himself with this one. Again. Which is a shame, because the man is intelligent and has some genuinely good ideas. But, like you say Arby, this issue raises serious questions as to his trustworthiness. WTF?
Voyska – Jeez, Steele really knows how to involve himself into the right issues in the wrong way, doesn’t he? These elections are about anything but him – does he really believe that he’s had that much impact already on the Republican base, let alone anyone else?

You know, I was too young to vote when Reagan was in office. BUT I STILL REMEMBER WHAT HE DID. How can people like Gingrich, and Peggy Noonan, and all these others who were THERE, come out in support of these people so utterly against everything the Right was supposed to stand for? Are they all going senile? Are the parties the Dems throw Really That Good?
Christalmighty, I wish Dick Cheney was President w/Sarah Palin in the VP spot. And I wish everyone to the Left of them would just fuckin’ ADMIT it and sign on w/the Donkey party.
