Modern Day Martyrs

So…
What happens when a bunch of Left-wing moonbats are arrested at an anti-health insurance company protest in NW?
That’s right, nothing!
No press reaction condemning them as extremists who take succor from other people’s deaths, no politicians taking to the podium to denounce them as anti-American, in fact no demagoguery at all from the entire constellation of vapid Left-wing sibling organizations.
But you knew that, already.
Seven socialists were arrested for the admittedly pathetic offense of blocking access to the headquarters of Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield. Which is not quite as ridiculous as getting arrested for waving your finger an inch in front of a police officer’s face while taunting him the jeer, “I’m not touching you! I’m not touching you!“, but it’s up there.
The slight novelty in this instance is that the group that organized the protest, Central Jersey Health Care Now, had decided in advance which of these selfless martyrs would be arrested, in a failed attempt to guarantee oodles of press coverage.
Really, though, getting arrested is a badge of honor for these people, a means of achieving a trifecta of worthless accomplishments as they get to (1) stick it to The Man (yeah!), (2) demonstrate their fanaticism to the Left’s other minions, who will then hopefully emulate their great deeds and (3) kick up a fuss for which they can then lay the blame – aided and abetted by the State-run media – on cave-dwelling, baby-eating conservatives.
But if it makes these parasites feel less pathetic even for an hour or two of their miserable lives, then that’s a victory, doggonit.

It also makes them feel young. “Yay, we get to protest like we did as teens in the 60s! We are still cosmic, duuuuuude!”
