Do politicos know how to have fun or what?
Whether it’s cheating on your wife, being on the take or spanking male prisoners (John Edwards, Monica Conyers and Herman Thomas, respectively), they always come up with new and exciting ways to have fun.
NY Governor-by-default David Paterson, however, has struck gold with his latest search for amusement, which revolves around mocking The One. Having been thrown under the bus by the delicate flower that is Barry, Paterson’s magnificent retort was to claim that Barry was only wee-wee’d off because he’s yet to achieve anything as president.
Before his wife came to his aide (wives are wonderful, aren’t they?) by suggesting that Barry might have a problem with black governors.
Wow. Talk about friendly fire.
And Paterson is not letting matters lie. After Barry declared that his henchmen would take back bonuses and salaries from investment firms that accepted TARP money, Paterson lashed out, stating that,
Politicians ultimately care about no-one except themselves. And if you’re a threat to that self-preservation, then you’re fair game, no matter what your party allegiance.
Were Paterson the governor of a different state, this confrontation could easily be swept under the carpet. But that’s not the case. This enmity has the potential to be epic.
