Lesbian Spy Scandal?
Now this one has me stumped.
Because it’s so stupendously ridiculous, yet entirely possible, that I’m not quite sure what to make of it.
Man-thing Rep. Jan Schakowsky has very allegedly had a lesbian affair (10 points) with a Turkish (100 points) spy (1000 points)!
Awesome!
Except, that is, that our elected representatives are supposed to be models of propriety and integrity (in a very theoretical sense, at least).
The unlucky spy tasked with -- ugh -- seducing Schakowsky supposedly did so due to Turkish concerns surrounding a possible Armenian genocide bill in Congress. Man, must you ever love your country to subject yourself to the horrorshow of a night with Schakowsky.
She clearly gets a thrill from doing the dirty with kinda naughty people. Her husband, don’t forget, is a convicted felon who was sentenced in 2006 to a mere five months in jail for tax evasion and writing rubber checks.
Now I wonder why he received such a lenient punishment…

Who set up the listening devices and cameras? So where are the tapes? I’m a concrete evidence kinda gal–not into fantasies.

I’m increasingly convinced that there is no such thing as an ethical democrat – only ones who haven’t been caught yet.
Unfortunately that observations also applies to about 50% of republicans.

Thanks for the link on your great blog. It was a weird experience when I confronted The Schak. She immediately frowned slightly, started blinking a lot, and pretended to pay attention to someone else while she gathered her composure – then immediately turned to me (being rude to the the other person) and said that the affair was “total fantasy.” She did not specify whether she meant that the allegation or the alleged affair was a fantasy. Hmmm.
