You Know You’re Blogging Too Much

Please note the gravity-defying stack of books that resembles the Leaning Tower of Pisa on the left of the photo, in addition to what an effective wardrobe the floor can make. All I have to say is that (1) Mom, I’m sorry – I know how you consider unmade beds to be the root of all evil and (2) please don’t email my wife because of this and tell her that she should do more housework. That would not be good.
You also know that you’re perhaps spending a little too much time blogging when it takes you three hours to get to an American Spectator-hosted pig-roast, at which you then spend about an hour before heading back to DC for a friend’s leaving party, all the while feeling like death warmed over, due to a hangover that only people 30 or older can experience.
And blogging has definitely become something of a fixation when a certain Robert Stacy McCain calls you on that same Sunday afternoon, in an attempt to convince you to hire a convertible and join him on a trip to Kentucky (which would have entailed blowing off work for the following couple of days as well, naturally) to investigate the death of Bill Sparkman, above.
Which, after much soul-searching, I declined. So, instead of me telling you about something I don’t know about, please head over to The Other McCain to read about another case where the established media has been too lazy to do its job (his latest report can be found in The Green Room).
And, while you’re there, consider hitting the tip-jar. Whereas I do my mockery routine for fun – and free! – real journalism is RSM’s livelihood (as attested to by his work for American Spectator, Pajamas Media and Taki’s Magazine, among other publications/outlets) and that takes cold, hard cash (or PayPal donations).

Track – my room often looks as bad or worse than your’s…you should see the ‘mancave’ where most of my rantings are formed…..too bad you couldn’t make the convertible invetigative run with Stacy, that would have been something….
