Let’s Talk About Me
A slightly (as in highly) self-indulgent post today, friends, but I trust that you’ll forgive me, seeing as it’s Saturday ‘n’ all.
Above is a pic of my wife and me, having a glass of champagne somewhere or other, at some point in time or another. Y’like the effect? I don’t know how/have the right program to scribble on photos, so the best I could do was to translucify our faces – looks kinda like The Grudge, right?
Plus my wife is so super-hot that images of her have been known to cause screen burn-in, and no-one wants that.
My hit counter now stands at around 95,000 (notwithstanding that the TrogloPundit tells me that the default WordPress hit counter is less generous than other counters, though I’m not quite sure how) since I started the site at the end of February this year. My best day numbered 3,320 hits and the last eight days have accounted for over 13,000 hits in all, which is way above normal.
This is largely due to incoming traffic from Hot Air readers. Stats-wise, I’m a C/D list blogger, though my membership of The Green Room temporarily boosts me to the realms of the B/C list (although, were we to judge on intelligence and wit, then I’d modestly consider myself an A-lister, for sure), as does the fact that I occasionally get to hang around with the big boys, such as Jimbo of Ace of Spades HQ fame, Jonn from This Ain’t Hell and The Other McCain’s eponymous Robert Stacy McCain (plus Smitty, of course). I’m hoping to meet up with (not to mention gain a link from) The Sundries Shack’s Jimmy Bise before too long, as well…

I’ll admit that after you started reading my rants, my readership started to pick up, and I have to also tip my hat to Nicky Goombah too. After he linked one of my posts I gained like 20 new followers in a day or two.
I still only get about 250-500 hits a day but it’s a far cry from where I began. I think I do A-list stuff, with C/D list exposure!

Track – My best day was in the thousands as well, some goofy linkage with Malkin re: an Archie Bunker video I had – of course it wasn’t something that proved my brilliance or work ethic

Thank you for the kind words; they are deeply appreciated. I think you and The Illustrated Conservative are largely responsible for my picking up my own sword and shield after my inane comments peppered your two sites. I know you have encouraged others as well.
It is marvelous that you have achieved the traffic that you have because it is a lesson to all of us that getting the message out can be done. The foibles, absurdities, and abuses that are foisted off on the good citizens of this country do not have to be tolerated. These sites and the alternate media portraying the Town Hall protests, the Tea Parties, and the demonstrations are the modern day equivalent of the Committees of Correspondence that preceded our Revolutionary War.
That bloggers like you — and those whom you have inspired — will be ready and in operation will become very important when the thousands of Soros/Emanual/DNC funded trolls are unleashed on the internet next year. The effort put into positing clear, concise, reasonable arguments and conservative opinion will easily help us to deconstruct their pathetic paid-per-post, cut-and-paste talking points. Doubt me? Think of how the honest citizenry have exposed the stupidity and arrogance of our pathetic members of congress at their Town Hall charades this past August.
This will be — literally — our time to gather on the common with our shot, powder, and musket waiting for the Red Coats to arrive.
I look forward to possibly getting to D.C. next May to share that beer we talked about. Your hit count should be a mil by then, I shouldn’t wonder.
By the way, your camera lens has a couple of spots on it.

Steve – thank you! I’ve just discovered that my work computer hates blogs and swallows pretty much every comment that I try to leave on friends’ sites, so apologies for my absence of late at your site.
LCR – thanks as well. I love not shaving. Plus I look about 15-years old when I do, so I decided to don’t.
Larry – welcome! You are clearly a man of taste and it is indeed a Tag (Kirium F1). Good observation! How could you tell – because of the black face (racist!)? I recommend you get one. I’ll never need another watch, so long as I – touch wood – don’t lose this one. It’s weighty but not heavy, chunky but not massively so and isn’t ostentatious/flamboyant/glittery like so many other supposedly high-quality watches. Plus it has the hideable digital display beneath the traditional one, which is awesome and not at all cheesy, as it might sound.
Voyska – I hope the trolls are coming. There are few things that I love more than destroying the weak.
SNK – my thanks to you as well! Glad to know that my mockery remains (mostly) civil. Or have I slightly misunderstood? I’m not quite with it today…
