I’ve read The Handmaid’s Tale, female British author, if I recall (it thankfully has less political connotations than you might expect, or at least more subtle ones, if I remember correctly). Entertaining book, although I prefer Children of Men.

and I orderd the book from Amazon.

Iran’s not going to cease its pursuit of nuclear weapons, the US is not going to use military force (as distinct from an invasion, which was never a possibility) and Israel is not going to tolerate a fervent Islamic nutter with nukes.

And the alternatives to Ahmadinejad, while being better than him simply due to not being him, pretty much all support the nuclear program, from what I’ve read.

No matter what happens, though, it’s only going to be short-term. The only long-term solution is for full democracy to take root in Iran.

Easier said than done…
