Another One Bites The Dust
In yet more news that the dead-tree press conveniently overlooked while delighting in their unrestricted ability to slander conservatives, it turns out that a House ethics panel has deferred an investigation into whether Jesse Jackson Jr. (or his representatives) attempted to buy President Obama’s former Senate seat, ostensibly because it’s interfering with the federal investigation into Rod Blagojevich.
Can the Justice Department not prosecute two crooks at once?
Or is something else holding them back?
Because if you’re an ally from New Mexico, you get let off the hook.
And if you’re members of a certain racist band of thugs (who, no doubt, had the best of intentions), then you’re of equally little interest to the authorities, too.
But if you dare – dare - to investigate one of the president’s cronies, such as Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson, then the full force of the state apparatus will be unleashed upon you.
Justice has never been more blind.
