There is a long history of systematic racism and while it is easy to throw around accusations, it is absurd to dismiss it, as well. It is the same as calling all Democrats "socialists". American democrats are fairly centrist, as is President Obama. Tossing around that term is just silly and ignores the need for a more analytical (and respectful!) national dialogue. The first thing we need to do is acknowledge that there are racists in this country and the majority do tend to come from uneducated, “conservative” backgrounds.
