Look The Part, Be The Part

It’s just another day for Michelle Obama, as she chucks on whatever clothes come to hand and strides off the private jet that was always meant to be hers and into the warm embrace of adoring celebrity-worshipers.
At slight risk of belaboring the point, please feel free to remind yourselves of Michelle’s impersonation of Morticia Adams, her favorite dog-walking get-up, her attempt to become a human rainbow and her tenacious one-woman effort to prove that all that glistens is not gold.
I know that fixating on her choice of clothes is a little obsessive, but it’s just so much fun!
This is either a cunning ploy to ensure that she receives sufficient face-time in the dead-tree press or she really, truly can only pick clothes that go together about as well as Hutus and Tutsis (I could’ve said Israelis and Arabs instead, but that may have gotten me into trouble…).
A word to the wise: just as Tony Soprano was told that mafia dons do not wear shorts, so should the First Lady not wear outfits that look like hand-me-downs.
From a vagabond.

Her hips make her hands look tiny.

This would be fine if she was a normal person flying coach, but she has a full-time staff of 26(!!) people to dress her(!!) and do her makeup(!!), and plenty of room for them and her Paris wardrobe on that private plane. Fire them all.

She is either trying to be one with the people or she is pulling her best DIVA act. Either way she is an embarrassment.

Oh my goodness. What would previous First Ladies say. She looks like she just came in our of the field. I’m ashamed.

You know, it’s funny, but I used to think that Nancy Reagan was pushy and demanding. Then after Reagan was shot, I either heard on the radio or on tv her telling what it was like for her to watch her husband and worry that he wasn’t going to make it. I think the media tried to make her look nasty, but when I actually listened to her that day, I saw that she genuinely loved her husband and was scared of him dying. But, she always acted with class. She gained a lot more respect from me when she refused to shake hands with BJ Clinton at Reagan’s funeral. She knew the rules and she would’ve never allowed herself to be photographed like that. She was the FL and with that position came responsibility. Just another indication that Michelle does not respect the position of her husband or the country. And she in no way endears herself to me by dressing like she’s on her way to a block party in the hood. Her position calls for professionalism and she hasn’t looked professional yet, IMHO.

Are you sure that is M.O. because she’s a dead ringer for a South African track star I saw the other day.
