    Happy Days Are Here Again

    Yeah, not quite yet.

But there are glimmers of hope, so let’s commence the weekend with something a little more uplifting than my usual fare.

Today’s Presidential Tracking Poll by Rasmussen reports that 30% of the nation’s voters strongly approve of Barry’s performance, against 38% who strongly disapprove.  Furthermore, a mere 25% believe that Porkulous has helped the economy.

Better yet, only 49% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the job The One is doing, marking the first time that his overall rating has ever fallen below 50% among likely voters nationwide.

And the completely-unrelated-cherry-on-top is that a multi-racial group of “stupid” police officers from Cambridge, MA, have demanded an apology from the president for his insulting comments.

The president obviously thinks otherwise, but, to me, the definition of stupidity is declaring a firm opinion on something about which you know very little.  Or nothing.  Not that that stops millions of people from doing so, anyway.

But the standards for you are not the same as for them, Mr. President.

I am getting this image in my mind of having just flushed the toilet after — shall we say — a particularly long time on the throne and watching all of the effluvia begin its slow but inexorable victory lap around the circumference of the bowl before plunging down through the glory hole.

      ..or have I spoken stupidly?

..you might want to check out the RCP average-of-averages page and note that NO other polls have him at over 60% either. In all cases, he has slipped into the 50s except for the aforementioned Rasmussen survey.

      Life is good.

What you have here is one elist addle-brained academic (Barry) supporting another (Grant). They are insufferable a-holes as most academics are. Lots of book learning but little people skills.

Red, sounds like you must have met my ex-husband.

Argh, horrible internet access since this morning, can’t do nothin’ or nothin’, China/Democrats probably responsible.

If you guys want to understand what a truly horribly sto-o-o-o-o-o-o-pid unthinking gas bag we have for a president, read the excellent analysis if The Boy King’s bloviating attempt to defuse the Cambridge PD problem — which is a startling indication as to how unadroit this idiot really is.

Don’t think this is f**king serious? How about having him misstep like this in serious negotiations with — say — some foreign power like Russia or Iran or North Korea or China..

      ..oh, wait..

      (Sorry for the expletive, J-.)

‘Crat, they say that the Rasmussen poll is a three-day moving average and has not factored in a lot of his health insurance reform press conference (what ever happened to health care reform?) and this Cambridge PD event.

If that proves to be his downfall and he descends to the depths of unpopulatiry, ultimately having to resign, will this affair become known as “Gatesgate”?

(Ohhhh, to find out if the question was “planted” at the press conference!)

Oi! Look at the Air Defense fella with the big words! LOL! Dude, I really have to salute your use of “effluvia” and “bloviating”! That’s a command of the English language I seldom see.

What we have here is, plain & simple, folks finally waking up and realizing the did the Wrong Thing. Buyer’s Remorse we called it when I worked in sales.

      Can we shoot him yet?

      Just KID-ding…sora…

You’re too kind, Mojo. And you would be right about The Boy King. One of his problems is that he spends 99% of his time “bloviating effluvia”.

Obama appears to have a problem when it comes to words and ideas.

The man has a habit of floating things out there, gauging reaction, and then acting strong and decisively with the latter as if he meant to all along.

For example: The Iran situation. At first, Obama’s mum on it, then floats the idea that it’s not our business. Well, that didn’t play well, so he flip flops based on what allows him to keep higher numbers and more capital.

What about the lack of care for America’s Veterans idea? In his inner circle of disconnected elitist grandstanders, this was political gold! After all, the left hates soliders — they’re the real baby killers. Tiller was Apollo.

      And now the Gates incident.

Obama thought it was racism. He thought America, most of which he feels is left-leaning, would appreciate these imaginary racists being called stupid.

      Oops.

So now it’s all about the “what I should have said” stuff.

I watched his highfalutin recovery speech and missed Bush for the first time.

Josh, there’s a reason Boy Wonder has a problem with words and ideas….unless he’s reading it verbatim as practiced and rehearsed off the TelePrompter, he pretty much craps his pants. He’s not so good at impromptu or improv…..

Love the picture with this post. May we all be his worst headache.

      Mojo, I agree.

I picked that up way back when he advised asthma-stricken children to undergo a breathalyzer. I forget where this was at, but I believe it was in the 55th state, Asstardia.
