Don’t All Thank Me At Once

    obama-narcissusjpeg

Tonight, ladies and gentlemen, is the latest episode in Uncle Barry’s public deception antics, as he holds a prime-time press conference which, according to Rahm Emanuel, will be used as a “six-month report card” to talk about “how we rescued the economy from the worst recession” in the galaxy.

Don’t you just love it when politicians make claims that are impossible to back up?

I realize that, given their massive but fragile egos, politicians have to shoot themselves full of false self-esteem in this way, but it still makes me vomit in my mouth a little to hear what they lay claim to.

Although, on this particular occasion, I hope that Barry proudly trumpets as loud and often as possible hat he has single-handedly rescued the economy.

Because it will do nothing except cement growing dissatisfaction with the Boy King and his imaginary world where jobs are created (literally) out of thin air.

The budget deficit has already passed the $1 trillion mark (congratulations on the achievement, America!), unemployment has risen, again, to 9.7 percent and worse is yet to come as Barry’s public spending crowds out private spending, before his tax raises clobber any surviving businesses into submission.

Epic self-conceit, sadly, is a prerequisite for being a politician – but, ultimately, hubris leads only to a greater fall.

It won’t happen tomorrow and it may not be the next day, either, but it’s coming.

Save your voice – we still have 3 years and 5 months to go.

I’d say God help us but I think we are in for such a deeply depressing time that we may be out of reach.
