    Europe Is No Model

    article-1200037-05b89067000005dc-571_233x423

See, this is one of innumerable reasons why emulating European welfare states is not going to work the miracles in the US that so many Lefties expect.

Gavin Paslow, above, used £3,500 in state benefits (more accurately known as handouts) to fund operations to make him look like the devil.

Hence the fangs, forked tongue and horns/bumps.  He’s also changed his name to Diablo Delenfer, should there be any lingering doubts as to his sanity.

Apparently predicating his entirely batsh*t crazy scheme on then being able to get up to all sorts of mischief under cover of darkness, Gary has run into a slight problem – he’s been ordered to remain indoors from 5pm to 5am after admitting to seven counts of benefit fraud.

There go all his best laid plans, none of which, I’m confident in stating, would have included anything good, whatsoever.

Rewarding idiocy is what happens when welfare states, so beloved by the Left, strip away all that it means to be an adult.

What a friggin’ idiot that guy is.

When I lived in Germany 20 years ago, I had an unemployed girlfriend (German citizen) who got a boob job, not because she needed it, but like this guy, because she wanted it.

While I certainly enjoyed the outcome, I was 22 and had no concept of how truly screwed up getting a boob job on the public dime was.

I know now, having gained some intelligence (and perspective) during the past 20 years, unlike Obugger and most of Congress.

We simply cannot let this happen in America. If we do, we’ll have legions of people running around, like my former girlfriend and Satan boy above, thinking the government will give them whatever they want.

And why shouldn’t they? That’s what people in our government want them to think.

    2. Track-A-'CratNo Gravatar Says:

Exactly, Dr. Dave. In their anti-intellectual and cowardly bid to never make a judgment about anything, everything is equally valid to Democrats.

So if you want to be so moronic as to do this to yourself, then it’s fine. No biggie. In fact, it’s so ok that society can pay for it for you. There!

Of course, one or two Lefties may decry this, without making the parallel connection that they are enabling such behavior.

There are none so blind as the blind.

God that pic is scary. I read this morning that he is trying to get pointy ears (the first op failed) and larger horns.

He claims he has a body dyssmorphic disorder.

      I say he’s an idiot.

Which is exactly the kind of sheeple our own government is trying to create. Spoon feed everything from how we drive to how we get health care.

Though I would venture to say that many in Congress don’t have to change their names and appearance to be known as Satan.

    4. Track-A-'CratNo Gravatar Says:

Yup, he’s a freak alright, Kris. Does his capacity for planning not extend beyond tomorrow? How does a grown man (in terms of age, anyway) convince himself that this is a great idea?

The mentally ill used to receive treatment, now doctors help them express their sick desire for self-mutilation. The tongue tear is sickening. The horns looks like he has a couple of wens and the fangs makes him look like he could use braces. When I see people with these type of mutilations I ignore it, I treat them like I would anyone else, I look them in the eye, I order my cup of coffee or whatever, I pay and then I wish them a good day just before I drive or walk away. I think I disappoint them with my lack of reaction, yet I have no desire to acknowledge their self-inflicted damage and be greeted with a barrage of oppositional defiance designed to enforce their view of themself as well as their view of everyone else being against them. You treat them with acceptance without telling them what you are accepting is their stupidity. lol

    7. Track-A-'CratNo Gravatar Says:

      tigerlily,

Yours is an intelligent and principled reaction. Do you see many people with such vulgar self-improvements (and, if so, where are you)?

Are you a psychologist/psychiatrist, by any chance (given your penultimate sentence)?

I look forward to more of your comments!

As we used to say in Maine…what a wicked nummah! (ie: someone numb in the head)

Shoulda changed his name to Diablo Asstard…

Somehow I doubt (or dare I say hope?) that someone would use the voice of reason so that public healthcare funds wouldn’t be used for body-mods (hey, I have 2 piercings and 7 tats myself, all paid for by ME) it wouldn’t shock me to see some wise-ass apply for a grant and call it “art”…..

Tell you what, ‘Crat, I think it’s time I pulled out the Big Guns and wrote about his public healthcare fiasco myself….because you get what you pay for, including British dentistry.

And Dr. Dave, where did you live in Germany? I was there 20 years ago too!

He could have at least got his teeth whitened while he was at it.

It’s good to see a completely erroneous story regurgitated third hand, All of Mr.Paslow’s alterations were paid for with monies he received in compensation for a back injury several years ago. He then obtained a security license and became a club doorman where he was much in demand due to his appearance The fraud charges relate to the fact that he continued to claim benefits once employed and none of that money was used for any modification.
It seems that news hungry hacks thought it would be more sensational to connect the fraud with his appearance once they encountered him at the courts…another case of not letting the facts get in the way of a good story,

While the fraud was clearly wrong the only reason this seems to have been latched onto by right wing Nazis is because they can make some desperate misguided link to Christian sensibilities while arguing against fundamental Christian principles.

    11. Track-A-'CratNo Gravatar Says:

      Eh, whatever.

There’s about six dozen newspaper reports that don’t agree with you.

And well done on calling right-wingers (and Christians, as well, the well known root of all evil) Nazis, so original!

Does it make you feel big and powerful to do that? Tee hee, I’m calling them Nazis! Aren’t I great?

      Please come back often.

    12. Jahred SplitfootNo Gravatar Says:

That’s an invitation I’ll decline as I had mistaken this for an intelligent discussion forum and thought that you might want some of the facts.Clearly you’re more interested in using any press mis-representation that backs up your narrow fixed viewpoint. Your failure to comprehend that last paragraph and your immature knee jerk reaction to it have proved me wrong however.

Still “Eh, whatever” I’m most likely just another “leftie” rather than somebody furnished with the facts who thought you might want truths on which to base and further the argument you are presenting.

    13. Track-A-'CratNo Gravatar Says:

Jahred, maybe I was a little quick to pounce. I am ever so slightly hungover this morning.

It was indeed your last paragraph that set my alarm bells ringing (with the extension that, as I conservative myself, I’m one of the right wing Nazis to whom you refer).

If you do come back and read this, please consider my first comment retracted…

    14. MojoSteve the Lightning ManNo Gravatar Says:

Most doormen I’ve seen in clubs, especially a club where that dude’s looks would have been in demand, they double as bouncers, and if his back injury was such that he was so highly compensated that he could get a whole new devilface he’d be a hindrance as a bouncer.

Just speculation on my part though. I mean, what do I know; I’m just a former cop and soldier…I can’t read people worth a damn.

    15. Jahred SplitfootNo Gravatar Says:

I thank you for that. By way of clarification I would like to state that I was in no way suggesting that everyone leaning to the political right is a Nazi. Like all groups though it has it’s zealots. Nor that there was some great evil Christian conspiracy. Merely that because of Mr.Paslow’s appearance those of a determined religious fervor may be more easily swayed or manipulated to a particular side of an argument.

It goes without saying that this case does nobody any favours. Overpaid Civil Servants have yet again failed to do their jobs. If they had overseen and regulated the case as it should have been Mr.Paslow’s claims for benefits would have been rejected from the outset.

The benefits system in a modern civilised society should exist to protect those of our citizens who genuinely need help, to protect those who are vulnerable and at risk and aid them to become self sufficient and independent. Unfortunately there will always be that small minority wishing to abuse the system and try for what they can get for as long as possible. Appropriate administration, regulation and disciplinary procedures however should ensure that those people do not succeed. It is not an argument to abolish or abandon the system altogether. If corruption within an organisation were the only criteria to it’s abolition we would see very many fall would have to start by abolishing government itself (appealing as that may be to some).
