A Story Of Eminent Providence

Guess who the above is? Go on, guess!
You give up?
It’s Sonia Sotomayor, circa decades ago, during her time as the self-hailed “perfect affirmative action baby” at Princeton University.
Stupidity lingers but looks erode…
There’s a vid of Sotomayor (during her confirmation hearing) over at Hot Air.
Please go watch it.
And prepare to be awed at not only her pathetically lame attempts at humor, nor her elementary understanding of the law, but also her grasp of the English language – she twice said “eminent” when she meant to say “imminent.”
Ed Whelan also noticed that she confused “providence” with “province” and stated “story of knowledge” instead of “store of knowledge.”
I guess that she’s nothing less than a reflection of a good deal of us (but not me), with her lazy oratory. The more I think about it, though, the happier I am that Obama has chosen a mediocre acolyte rather than a truly intelligent one – at least the conservative Supreme Court justices may be able to confuse Quota Sonia with some highfalutin words.
