The Good Ol’ Boy Network

Confirming its status as the irresistible peanut-butter and jelly (or “jam” for any passing British readers) combination of the political world, the stupidity and corruption twofer has made another strong showing in recent days.
Its host body this time is Gov. Bill Ritter (D-CO), pictured above in authentic See, I’m a real American, too! mode. Here’s the stupid part.
And now for the corruption.
According to CBS4 Denver, which helpfully omitted any reference to Ritter being a Democrat, Ritter “awarded some of the state’s first stimulus money to his former employer in a no-bid contract.”
This is bad enough but, as per usual, it quickly gets worse: Ritter hired his former law firm, Hogan & Hartson (which has so far profited to the tune of 40,000 taxpayer dollars), to review stimulus spending.
Satisfaction guaranteed!
The Grand Canyon-sized conflict of interest contained therein is apparently invisible to idiot Ritter.

Thanks for adding Gov. Ritter to your roster of idiots. As a Coloradan, I’m watching my beloved state adopt the politics and policies of California and it’s horrific. Pop on a cowboy hat and they’ll believe anything you say. Unfortunately, that’s all to true.
Coloradans want their state back!

hielevation, I feel for you.
But at least CO has known sanity, whereas DC (where I am) knows nothing but left-wing loonery.
