Victory Through Defeat

I’d normally have some (slight) reservations about holding someone to account for their predictably underdeveloped writings as a student.
But I’ll gladly make an exception for Barry, a man who shows absolutely no evidence of moving beyond the superficial beliefs of his more immature years.
Having been weaned on the teat of left-wing anti-logic since conception, Barry evinces as an adult the same unquestioning faith in government, taxes and Marx. The New York Times, perhaps in a belated attempt to repair some of the self-inflicted damage caused by its fixation with Obama, has miraculsouly just released an aricle penned by Barry in 1983, entitled “Breaking the War Mentality.”
The title alone tells you pretty much all that you need to know, but fear not, brave readers, for I have suffered its mediocrity and crushing dullness on your behalf.
Boy-Obama decries the “military-industrial interests” (tick), sympathizes with fellow peaceniks who unhappily admit that “You’re not going to get rid of the military in the near future” (tick) and hilariously denounces President Reagan’s actions as “playing directly into the Russians’ hands” (tick).
Full marks for absorbing neo-communism in its entirety (and I won’t deduct any for the dreadfully misspelled “definately” at the top of the third page…)
For bonus points, Barry then equates appeasement of Hitler with support for “countless American puppet dictators today” (so what does that make his contemporary appeasement of Ahmadinejad, Chavez and Zelaya?) and warns of a European powderkeg “waiting to go off.”
At least his wrong-headedness is consistent, I guess.
These are the thoughts of the man now entrusted with protecting global stability (or what remains of it) through his apologize, disarm and surrender world tour.
Yikes.

He should have stuck more with Reagan. Then he would have come full circle and things might not be so bad. Reagan had joined the Communist party at one time. Then he woke up. Reagan quote of the day at BBCW : http://bungalowbillscw.blogspot.com/2009/07/reagan-quote-of-day-7509.html

I’m probably going to butcher this, but there is a saying that says…
“If you are young and are not a liberal, you have no heart, if you are old, and are not conservative, you have no brain.”
An alternate view, which I support, is that the POTUS knows exactly what he is doing, and will continue to create crises so he can propose ever increasing levels of socialism to “solve” them. After all, Barry is a community organizer!

Track – I just suffered my way through the same 1983 campus article. Lame. Discombobulated,(spelling?). Inane. Bleeding-heart. Painfully absent were any mentions of adulations of Mao, Lenin, Marx and Engel so I jettisoned my piece that I was about to write up. I think you summed it up perfectly here for me.

LCR,
Thanks for the compliment!
The prospect of the article was indeed more enticing than the piece itself.
It’s not so damning, except for its pervasive naivety and predictability.
And I just noticed an amateur spelling mistake, which always helps…

Appreciated as always.

To quote Ronald Reagan.
How do you tell a communist? Well, it’s someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-Communist? It’s someone who understands Marx and Lenin.

With Obama it is necessary to always interpret his actions and his words through the communist looking glass.
