No Defense = No Enemies
In the fairy tale world of President Obama, the only enemies that America has are imaginary, created by and aimed exclusively at George W. Bush.
Hamas, Hezbollah, al-Qaeda, the Taliban and myriad other Islamist terror groups, the theocracy in Iran, the communists in China, Cuba and North Korea, the resurgent autocrats in Russia and central Asia, the “friendly” regimes in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, the tinpot dictators of Africa and nuance neighbors in Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia and Nicaragua were all magicked in to existence by the election and actions of the 43rd president and will now disappear back into the ether as Democratic touchy-feeliness has once again truimphed.
So when Obama cuts the defense budget, he is not – in his eyes – weakening America, but rather making prudent savings.
How nice for him.
But not for the rest of us. Obama’s answer to everything, except for defense, is to lavish more money on the problem. That he does this as president is merely an extension of how he behaved in his less lucrative life before being recognized as The One.
Obama will veto an imminent defense bill if it includes around $1 billion for F-22 fighter jets and the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program.
The $1 billion that he churlishly opposes is equivalent to 0.13% of Porkulus.
This would be Obama’s first veto and he has chosen it carefully. By opposing military spending, Obama is able to burnish his pacifist credentials, appease militant anti-war Democrats and even pose as cutting the budget (an image that the entire panoply of media lapdogs – Major Garrett aside – will reinforce).
Despite the efforts of the press, however, the disaster that is Obama will not go unnoticed for too much longer.

He’s been better as of late, but for awhile he was riding that Hopeium train to nowhere. He only woke up when he realized that Obama wasn’t what he thought he was, despite that fact that he covered the man’s entire election on Fox News. How could you NOT know?!? It still boggles my mind.
I’m still iffy on him; he seems to be another hanger on.

I’m with you some of the way, but not all of it.
Plus, I’ve endless reserves of forgiveness for anyone taken in by Obama’s deceptive facade, only to see the light later on.
Gonna be lots more of them soon enough…

I don’t know if Obama is a pacifist or not, but he is definately anti-military and that is enough for me in the real world we live in. He is in some smokey Utopian landscape where everyone is dancing and chasing the bouncing butterflies. Not keeping top notch fighters in a time of an emerging gaint in the far east is just crazy, but……
