Textile Schizophrenia

In a way, I like that BO and MO feel so at ease in the White House.
BO puts his feet up in the Oval Office, understandably quite content with his ability to win election despite having achieved nothing at all in life beforehand.
And Michelle is comfortable enough to be seen in public wearing threads from, presumably, Goodwill. It might be a strenuous effort to make clear that she’s still keepin’ it real, despite attaining First Lady status, but I’d still rather she didn’t do it.
Please.
Maybe she has the little known affliction of textile schizophrenia.
It’s a potentially humiliating disorder, leaving the sufferer unable to distinguish between good and bad choices of footwear.
Then the other extremity is reached, with Michelle ranking #93 on Maxim’s annual top 100 list of “hottest women in the world.”
Before, that is, the inevitable fall from the commanding heights with the fashion equivalent of Hurricane Katrina.
This we can state with confidence: funnest job in the White House?
Michelle’s stylist.
[Hey, if Apple can use the word "funnest" in its international commercials, then I can use it on my somewhat smaller blog.]

Funnest…cuz the woman will wear ANYTHING the stylist convinces her is hot, happenin’ or hip, then laughs with the rest of the peons when the pictures appear on the internet.
I hope.

I note she is sans the $500 Keds. They repossessed?

I’m certainly no fashionista, but I would prefer to see my First Lady appearing well-dressed and behaving in a way which is befitting of her position. Keeping it real, or so they say, should not include watching the First Lady work a pooper-scooper.

Sandy,
Compare and contrast to more decorous first ladies like, say, Laura Bush?
Oh yes, and the pooper scooper remark is just marvelous!

[...] We normally leave the cattiness up to the girls… …and, well, yeah, we’ll keep right on doing that. Here at The Trog, anyway. Track-a-’Crat, on the other hand… [...]

Funny post and kinda cold-blooded. But upon reflection, Sandy makes a good point. There is a time and a place for wearing your “goodwill” threads, but I don’t think it reflects well on Michelle or the President.

Paula – welcome! You have immediately earned special honors by using the word “cold-blooded” to describe the post – I’d not until now received that particular compliment, and will cherish it forever.

Apparently, BHO flinched when she asked him “Do these shorts make my butt look big?”
