More Wrong Than Incest
This always happens. I don’t want to post today (it’s Sunday!) but it’s either that or scream out loud in my apartment. Which doesn’t please the neighbors.
I did it earlier this week because (no joke) I had a disastrous hair cut. Whereas I said that I wanted about half-an-inch taken off the top, the ESL-less lady decided instead to leave me with half-an-inch up top.
Thanks. Now I look 16 again, so went home and screamed at my walls in anger for a little while, until I realized how much it would weird me out if I heard the guy next door yelling incoherently at nothing in particular.
President Obama’s speech at Cairo University the other day was equally maddening. Barry is a walking platitude – I honestly doubt that he’s ever said anything in public life that wasn’t an anecdote/idiom/truism. Check out these excerpts from his Cairo address:
“No system of government can or should be imposed on one nation by another.”
“Our daughters can contribute just as much to society as our sons.”
“No single nation should pick and choose which nations should hold nuclear weapons.”
The killers of September 11 were “violent extremists”, not “Islamist terrorists.”
All of which is just another way of saying that the US is no better than the cesspits that abound in the Middle East.
And this man is purportedly intelligent?
