We Are So Screwed
Because now we’re being outwitted by even Cuba.
Cuba!
Kendall Myers, 72, (formerly a senior official at the State Department’s Bureau of Intelligence and Research) and his wife Gwendolyn Steingraber Myers, 71, have been charged with conspiracy to act as illegal agents of the Cuban government and with communicating classified information to Cuba.
They were, allegedly, recruited in 1979.
1979!
Let us hope that the US intelligence agencies knew all about this and were using the couple in some elaborate game of counter-espionage against Cuba.
But I doubt it.
China is challenging the US Navy in the South China Sea. Latent Russian hostility is on the rise, as they achieve feats such as ousting the US from its only Central Asian air base in Kyrgyzstan. Iran is as belligerent as ever and closer to obtaining nuclear weapons than ever. North Korea, behaving as usual despite Kim Jong-il’s incapacity, is conducting nuclear tests without a care in the world. Pakistan is nowhere nearer being the theoretical “stable democracy” that some analysts think not only possible but also a solution to the many problems posed by the situation there.
And now, the straw that broke the camel’s back, comes Cuba.
I sure do feel safer today that at any other time during the previous eight years knowing that Obama will rely on the United Nations to resolve (exacerbate) these tensions.

Growing up in Miami I have had the unique experience of crawling under my desk during the Cuban Missile Crisis, as well as eating dinner inside a flashlight illuminated closet with my mom and brothers while my dad walked outside as a neighborhood watchman. I’ve also had friends, Cuban friends, who left the island as children with nothing more than the clothing on their backs, whose children now ridicule their parents’ and grandparents’ sacrifices and believe it is time to “make nice” with the brothers Castro. These friends, who hail from dictatorial tyrannies, can’t comprehend how America’s voters could not recognize Obama what what he is: A socialist and a dictator in the making. My answer to them is simple: The U.S. education system has stopped teaching kids about the EVILS of communism, socialism, and totalitarianism and has, instead, begun teaching our children of the evils of capitalism, corporate advancement, and social conservatism. Lenin correctly stated, “Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.”
As Americans we view the indoctrination of the children of Hamas with fear and with the thought that this is a form of child abuse. Are we really any different? Aren’t we indoctrinating our own children AGAINST Americanism? The “State” educates our children, indoctrinates them, turns them into like-minded robots who will vote according to the conscience the State has programmed into them.
America – Wake up.

You got it. Public education concurrently fails to defend free-market conservatism while also downplaying the horrific consequences of socialism throughout history.
It’s become a morass of relativism, where everything is of equal value and there is certainly no “right” or “wrong.” That would be discriminatory, colonialist, oppressive, judgmental and/or racist – take your pick.
We (the free world) are going to pay for it.
