It’s over. That people like Brian Deese now exert unrivaled influence over entire economic sectors is the death knell of the greatest, and fairest, system of wealth creation that the world has ever known.
The free market will be so irrevocably damaged by the time that President Obama strolls away into the sunset that the only choice will be between making the best of the situation we’ll find ourselves in or collapsing the entire experiment and starting afresh.

This must be one of the activists that brought us the idea to close Guantanamo without a plan how to actually go about it.
The GM takeover will undoubtedly result in a major economic disaster costing taxpayers trillions. At least Obama won’t be able to blame this on GW Bush. At least responsibility will be Obamas. Also hopefully,the UAW will go down with the ship they helped to sink.

Exactly, the silver lining is that the failure will be all Obama’s and that the UAW’ll be caught up in the meltdown.
There’ve gotta be less painful ways of achieving those ends, though…
