I can also assure you that it had nothing to do with race. We all love and respect each other, our families, watch out for each other, and we all realize, especially us plainclothes guys, that it can happen in an instant. We're trained for it. If you only knew how much we respect and how we would willingly die to protect each other and how the death of this officer eats us up inside you would understand. Race be damned!
