Taxes Are Tops
Did you believe Øbama’s “promise” not to raise taxes?
Ohhhhhhhh. You did.
You really shouldn’a done that. Did you also believe the one about the sky falling down and the sea-level going up?
So your taxes are not going to rise, unless…
You own stock/shares…
You earn, as part of a married couple, $250,000 or over…
You pollute (as an individual, a business or simply a carbon-based life-form)…
You donate to charities…
And let’s not forget about indirect tax increases to which we’re all liable…
Such as more expensive gas (due to Øbama’s refusal to make use of America’s natural resources)…
More expensive electricity (see above and also because of Øbama’s refusal to consider clean coal and nuclear power technology)…
Possible hikes in alcohol taxes…
Plus there’s heavier credit card fees, especially if you’ve been responsible; more scarce, and thus more pricey, loans/mortgages; not to mention the small matter of a federal budget that is twice the size of last year’s; and a budget deficit that is four times what it was at this time last year.
Whew. Is that all? I must’ve missed a thing or two out – it’s difficult to keep up.
But never mind. The socialist utopia – the equal sharing of misery, that is – appears to be right around the corner.
