This person is an embarrassment. Once again, from his dialog, we see that he either conflates Memorial Day with Veteran's Day or -- as you point out, J -- he uses this as an opportunity to take yet another gratuitous swipe at the Bush administration. Hey, Obama, today is the day we remember the dead veterans who gave their life for this country. The other opportunity you get to take a swipe at Bush (and shift the blame) is in November -- you know, around the time you got elected.

C'mon now, admit it! In all honesty, over the past twenty years (since 1989) we have had four administrations and among those four administrations, who which would have the best attitude towards the the military? I would say it would the one where Bush was president. I can hear the caterwauling of the anti-war, peace freaks now, but both Clinton and the Sainted One have demonstrated a pathological dislike of our armed forces, both Clinton's antipathy towards our men in uniform being well-documented..

..and the latter to be well documented, I am sure. I remember the first speech this clown gave a speech to a a military unit, he says, "Well, for starters, we're gonna give you all a pay raise." That's good, you tool, but wouldn't it be nice to start your speech with something more lofty than what might be said by a Chicago ward-healer. His pay raise came in at 2.9% -- one percent less than what Congress did for them last time.

Cheap son of a bitch!
