    Never Waste An Opportunity

I knew I shouldn’t have started reading the interweb today.  Should’ve just brushed my teeth and gotten on out of the apartment, into lovely DC.

But noooooooo, I couldn’t do that.  That would be too easy.

And so it is that I read this piece in the DC Examiner, about PBO’s use of Memorial Day to take a(nother) swipe at the previous president, stating that:

Our fighting men and women – and the military families who love them – embody what is best in America. And we have a responsibility to serve all of them as well as they serve all of us.

“And yet, all too often in recent years and decades, we, as a nation, have failed to live up to that responsibility. We have failed to give them the support they need or pay them the respect they deserve. That is a betrayal of the sacred trust that America has with all who wear – and all who have worn – the proud uniform of our country.”

    Classy.

Because a militantly pacifist, grievance-mongering, self-loathing, orthodox Marxist, apologist-for-America is really going to honor the military properly.

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown is experiencing an ongoing and public nervous breakdown, as he is forced to acknowledge his own crushing ineptitude.

I look forward to the day when President Intern shares the same fate.

This person is an embarrassment. Once again, from his dialog, we see that he either conflates Memorial Day with Veteran’s Day or — as you point out, J — he uses this as an opportunity to take yet another gratuitous swipe at the Bush administration. Hey, Obama, today is the day we remember the dead veterans who gave their life for this country. The other opportunity you get to take a swipe at Bush (and shift the blame) is in November — you know, around the time you got elected.

C’mon now, admit it! In all honesty, over the past twenty years (since 1989) we have had four administrations and among those four administrations, who which would have the best attitude towards the the military? I would say it would the one where Bush was president. I can hear the caterwauling of the anti-war, peace freaks now, but both Clinton and the Sainted One have demonstrated a pathological dislike of our armed forces, both Clinton’s antipathy towards our men in uniform being well-documented..

..and the latter to be well documented, I am sure. I remember the first speech this clown gave a speech to a a military unit, he says, “Well, for starters, we’re gonna give you all a pay raise.” That’s good, you tool, but wouldn’t it be nice to start your speech with something more lofty than what might be said by a Chicago ward-healer. His pay raise came in at 2.9% — one percent less than what Congress did for them last time.

      Cheap son of a bitch!
