Cognitive Dissonance

Apologies in advance for being slightly patronizing, but, just so that we’re all sure, cognitive dissonance is the discomfort (that should be) caused by holding two contradictory ideas simultaneously.
At least, that’s what it is in theory: Barack Obama is what it is in human form.
He’s now fretting about the US deficit and debt, after demanding (and receiving) passage of the largest federal budget in US history. You’re a little late to the party, BO.
So the President has increased government spending by at least three/four trillion dollars since last year. And the figure could be five/six trillion. Heck, for all we little people know, it could be seven times that. Factor in soon-to-be-realized healthcare costs as well, and pretty soon we’re going to run out of numbers.
But he’s also proposed budget cuts of a whole $17 billion. I’m embarrassed to even state that, and it didn’t have anything to do with me.
And he still presents himself as fiscally responsible. This level of self-deception is only possible if you are, deep down, a very scary person.
President Obama is such a walking contradiction that his existence is a threat to the time/space continuum (note to Lefties – that’s not a coded threat or call to arms. Oh God, oh God, oh God, I’m in trouble now that I’ve typed that. Socialists will say that I’m calling for the president to be knocked off. Help! Fire! Rape!).
How can two polar opposites exist in the same time at the same place? It’s like a black hole and a sun occupying the same space simultaneously.
Awesome but devastating (Einstein, eat your heart out).

Perhaps you should use an Inverse Tachyon Pulse? It works all the time on Star Trek! Sorry, I use a lot of Picard references at my place!
