Looks Erode But Stupidity Lingers
Not that I’m implying that Howard Dean was ever good looking, you understand. I just needed a contrast in the title.
Unless Dean’s getting massively carried away in the heat of the moment (and we all know what that leads to), then I’m really not interested in subjecting myself to his intelligence-defying routines.
But I do love that clip. Some things truly are immune to the ravages of time – just stare in awe, once more, as Dean’s face gets redder and his voice grows hoarser as he prepares himself for the warcry…
Eeeyyyyyaaaaahhhhhhhh!
Phonetically, that’s about as close as I’m ever going to come to getting it.
Back to the main point, that Howard Dean is prone to voicing innate stupidity, the type of stupidity that you cannot learn, you just naturally possess.
According to Dean, “We’ve had quite enough capitalism” already.
How did we let ourselves reach the point where this type of statement is not only accepted as carrying a valid point but also commonly repeated?
Oh yeah: we let communism become “cool” again.

When Howard said “we’ve had quite enough capitalism already” I couldn’t help but think of his “poor” upbringing. I mean the poor guy had to grow up on Park Ave in NYC and spend his spare time in the Hamptons (East Hampton)…
