We Have Defeated Ourselves
Bearing in mind the epic stupidity of those in charge, it’s nothing short of a miracle that the United Kingdom still exists.
The latest official brainfart: Scotland Yard is to scale back its stop-and-search anti-terrorism powers over fears that it could be alienating Muslims.
How sensitive the police are to fret over the tendency of many Muslims to take offense at the slightest provocation (Pope rage, teddy bear rage, Rushdie rage, Valentine’s Day rage, Gitmo rage, cartoon rage, convert rage, sunshine rage?).
Police action always alienates those who are guilty of something. What would be the point otherwise?
As usual, the authorities have it backward. Why does no one care about Muslims alienating the rest of us through small matters such as bombing public transportation?
