Two back-to-back posts mentioning Islam in a not-entirely-positive manner. Is there any faster way to guarantee the wrong kind of attention from the Powers That Be?

Hawaiian lawmakers have decided to christen 24 September 2009 as “Islam Day.” Because that religion has played such a fundamental role in the development of the US over the last few centuries.
By the way, is there a more perfect job than being a politician in Hawaii? First off, there’s nothing of much consequence to actually do. Nicer still, where better to have nothing to do than Hawaii?
You get the perks of being a politician (y’know, the rights to cheat, lie and steal) without the drab Washington D.C. backdrop…

This day falls within the Jewish High Holy Days-the Holiest days of the year.
I am quite sure Hawaii will overlook the Jewish Holiday. I guess I will cancel that trip to Hawaii
