Swept Under The Carpet

Jeff Rosato, a former senior aide to Sen. Barbara Boxer, has been sentenced to five years in prison for possessing child pornography.
Had this been a GOP aide, you can bet your bottom dollar that this would have made headlines for at least a month or two, replete with not-so-subtle inferences that the (hypothetical) Republican representative was closely involved in the scandal, if not the ringleader.
But as it was a Democratic aide?
He probably thought he was downloading pictures of pretty rainbows, fluffy bunnies and Michelle Obama.
Obviously.
On a side note, I trust the criminal justice system and there was doubtless a thorough investigation but, should kiddie porn ever be found on your laptop, you’re screwed. Forever.
Even if it’s subsequently discovered that you were not responsible for its being there, you’ve f***ed in the court of public opinion, regardless.
With that in mind, the unscrupulous side of me is trying to hatch a plot to plant such material on the hard drives of Pelosi, Reid, Frank, Dodd and quite a few others…

In the same vein, compare and contrast, students, what was done to Miss California versus this crap. Oh yes, on the subject of hypocrisy, how about Geithner standing next to The Dear Leader as he telehectored the people about his effort to close tax loopholes and the civic responsibility to pay taxes.
What was that line in Apocalypse Now? “Oh man, the bullshit piled up so fast around here, you needed wings to stay above it!”

Could not find a single reference to his arrest anywhere on the net. This is what you call scrubbed clean.

Voyska PVO: “telehectored”, like it!
Sandy: it’s there somewhere, but buried deep.
