Great Minds Think Alike

Politeness and manners, if used properly, can be wonderfully effective ways of showing immense disapproval.
The disdain is all the greater for being offered subtly under the guise of absolute calmness.
Which is not at all what President Obama did with petty dictator Hugo Chavez.
Greeting him as a kindred spirit (well, why not?), the pair shook hands, then proceeded to turn it into a nauseating sequence of fist grabbing techniques.
Those things can go on forever. Some moron is always coming up with new additions to the grab-shake-knock, etc, and you just end up looking stupid if you start to play the game but don’t know all the moves. Which no one does.
Far better, then, to simply refuse contact with Chavez or avoid him altogether.
Problem is, that would require principles on behalf of the president.
