Spending Like A Drunken Sailor

This is about as surprising as finding out that President Obama hearts taxes.
After shoving over $13 billion down the throat of General Motors, the Obama administration has now told GM to “make all necessary preparations for a possible bankruptcy filing by June 1.”
Even though GM itself insists that it can successfully restructure. Hmm, on past evidence I’d say that was unlikely. The UN makes similarly fanciful claims as well.
Although, had I been the one to gorge GM on feasts of taxpayer money, I’d at least give them a shot at it.
What could possibly be worse than flooding a private enterprise with public money, then firing their CEO before the coup de grace (is it pretentious to use a French phrase here? Or is it more pretentious that I italicized it? I’m trying to be more American, so need your help), deciding that the entire company is kaput.
President Obama really needs to get a grip. Holding opposing positions on every conceivable issue is fine – if very irritating – while you’re being groomed for the big time, but is a recipe for disaster when in office.
Much as you hate it, BO, you’re gonna have to start coming down on one side of the fence or the other – voting “present” don’t cut it no more.

My teenager is coming to the TEA party with me on Wednesday. He’s mad as hell and not going to take it anymore! His slogan: I’m 15, I owe the government $20,000. Where is my Representation?

Sandy,
Which Tea Party are you attending?
