Good For Them: Sucks For Us
Immigration doesn’t quite work like the above anymore.
Non-sequitor alert: the best way to instantaneously reduce the number of recorded crimes (and thus enable yourself to boast about it from now until kingdom come) is to simply decriminalize illegal activities.
Some Democrats would like to see this happen with pot. More want to see it happen with regard to illegal aliens.
Illegal aliens would then not contribute to crime statistics through either their arrival or subsequent activities, could be taxed more heavily along [with the rest of us] and would constitute another reliable bloc of Democratic voters.
If you’re a Democrat, there’s no downside. If you’re not, tough luck.
It normally takes far longer before newly elected governments begin proposing such self-destructive policies: let us be thankful that President Obama has started early.
