Over the next 18 months, up to 7,600 Freddie and Fannie employees will share around $210 million in retention bonuses.
Yes, that’s right, they’re getting paid simply for staying at those triple-A institutions.
Why would they ever choose to leave? No matter how terrible a job they do, they won’t be fired. Quite the reverse, in fact.
Seems to be today that the fewer qualifications for the job you have, the more qualified you are to do it. Wouldn’t you agree, President Obama?
