My choice of president he may not be (then again, I can’t vote, so I officially do not matter in this regard -- I just wish that other aliens, legal and otherwise, would also not vote), but he’s still the leader of the free world.
And that should never entail bowing, or affording any other sign of deference or respect, to killers, tyrants, racists and bigots.
All of which are neatly encapsulated in the King of Saudi Arabia.
President Obama has had one unqualified success in his administration so far -- he is proving to be even more adept than Jimmuh Carta at publicly declawing the USA.
Despots everywhere, rejoice.

Interesting perspective. If you believe the Saudi king is a tyrant and killer… what do you think about the undeniably strong financial and personal relationship that the Saudi royal family has with the Bush family? Were you just as outraged when former President Bush walked hand in hand with the king? There is no leader who has bowed down to the Saudi king more than the Bushes.

D,
It was pretty nauseating when hands were held and smackers planted on the 41st and 43rd presidents.
Bowing is even more subservient. And, more importantly, Presidents George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush fought to liberate (among other objectives) the peoples of Kuwait, Afghanistan and Iraq.
Once (if) President Obama has proven his mettle in defending democracy, then he can bow all he likes.

Is the USA still considered the leader of the “free” world?

Don’t belive the hype, McNorman – the US is still the leader of those nations worth leading.

Obama should have just completed the gesture by turning around and grabbing his ankles.

Sandy,
I’m sure we won’t have to wait too long…

[...] President Obama doesn’t only bow to the Saudi king. [...]
