Nancy Pelosi has stated that she’s open to a second (third? Fourth? I’m having trouble keeping the bank refinancing, stimulus, mortgage bailout, automaker rescue and omnibus spending bill separate) stimulus.
Aside from Warren Buffet, who exactly will be surprised by this news?
In the eyes of Speaker Pelosi her money is her money, your money is her money and my money is her money.
“Liberals” are under this delusion that they can force living standards up by drastic redistributions of wealth.
Problem is, the equal sharing of nothing (which is what the economy will become) is still nothing.
In the words of the man of last century, Winston Churchill:
“Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.”
