That Didn’t Take Long

Michael. I understand the urgent need to decontaminate the Republican brand. The British Conservative Party has wasted the last fourteen years through a combination of infighting, self-confusion and lack of unity (and is only now on the true path to recovery).
It will be far more disastrous if conservatives in the US head the same way. So doing your darndest to alienate a man with many sound beliefs and many more followers (20,000,000 of them) is not the wisest move.
If the electorate is presented with a choice between the Democratic Party and a lite version, they will go for the real deal.
In politics, imitation is not the sincerest form of flattery: it is the route to irrelevance.
