Nice Work If You Can Get It
Something’s not quite right about this one.
Michelle’s compensation at the University of Chicago Hospitals, where she was a vice-president for community affairs, nearly tripled just before hubby was elected to the Senate in 2005. Who then requested an earmark for said hospital.
Coincidence?
Probably not.
Her position was so vital for the hospital that, once she left, it was absorbed into another exec’s responsibilities.
And, really, what is community outreach for a hospital, anyway? Who is it aimed at – the sick? If they need telling that, a night or two in the hospital ain’t gonna fix ‘em.
